Spanner (?) wrench
I have coil over shocks and need a wrench to adjust them. Does anyone know who sells one that won't damage my shock. A friend said "Use a big pair of channel locks." I informed him he was misunderstanding my car! He then said "Well get a Spanner Wrench. " I am not the most car smart person but would like to purchase a wrench that is designed just for the shock so I do not damage the shock.
You guys hit a home run telling me how to fix my speedo, lets see what happens here.

What brand of shocks?
Mine are Carreras, and I have a spanner wrench coming with the car. Try www.jegs.com and look up the exact one for your app/brand.
Hope that helps

There are two styles and different sizes available. I bought both of mine from the local industrial hardware supply store (McFadden-Dale). One is for collars with round holes, for the tool's pin to insert into; the other is for collars with "square steps" on it such as SPF cars have. Doesn't sound as clear in print as when you see them. They are the correct type of tool althogh not purchased from a shock manufacturer. A spanner wrench is a totally different tool, not particularly usefull for cobras.

Try Lone Star
Todd,
Lone Star makes a spanner wrench. Give them a call. Additionally, Jeg's sells them or you can go to http://www.snapon.com and seach for part #AHS300B. There are several different sizes available.

Make Note:
Don't use the square style on a nut with round holes....Other than the old "square peg, round hole" bit, it will tear up the holes in one use. Be sure to get the one that matches. I got mine from McMaster-Carr's website.

Nice pic computerworks,
Mine are beefier and they have hinges to accomidate different diameter collars. One is for round holes, the other is for "square drive" probubly the same as the one's at McMaster-carr.
