Master Cylinder ?'s
I was wondering what would be the best combination of master cylinder size for my application.
I have Granada Calipers w/11" rotors on th front, and Standard Ford Drums (8" rear end). Manual brakes. I have a pair of 1" Brembo Master Clyinders, but thought they might be way TOO much for my application. Would these work??? What do you guys think??? Thanks. RZ |
They'll be really hard to push. That is a big bore for dual master cylinder brake setup. The mechanical advantage of having a long skinny master cyl piston pushing a short fat caliper piston lets you translate a long foot travel distance with little force into a short travel brake piston distance with lots of pressure. Then again, depending on the piston size of the caliper and brake pedal arm ratio.......

I don't know the pistons size in the calipers,... I do know the Wilwood pedal I am using has a 7:1 ratio which may offset the stiffness somewhat... what do you think??
