What John's referring to is simply setting the ride height, weighing the car on wheel scales, and adjusting the coilovers to achieve 50% cross-weight.
Cross refers to the Left rear + right front corner weights expressed as a percentage of the total vehicle weight. 50% cross allows the car to handle the same in right and left turns, assuming the alignment is the same on both sides.
