Question Wheel color?

What do you think, body colored wheels, or standard gray?

don't paint them yellow or black,to much yellow and black will only pull the yellow shade down making it look darker then i think you were intending it to be.take wheels and get them high polished including the spinners and the small centers.they look like sterling silver when done and really makes the yellow stand out

Dwight,

2002 Corvette Millennium Yellow. It is darker than I thought, but I like it better than the color that I thought I was getting (if that makes sense). email me if you want more pictures.

Ditto on the Gray. The yellow whould have to be an exact match. Gold might work as well.

Regardless of what color you decide, if you use paint instead of powdercoat I have had it suggested to put some flex agent in the paint to help avoid chipping in use. Just a thought. Made sense when I heard it (?)

Darker wheels provide more contrast to the body color. Body colored wheels look a little too much like the rice burner crowd with their neon accesories.

Default Brandon, look at the Finish Line site

Enzo's car is similar yellow/black scheme, and he has the black wheel look you are asking about. Looks good to me.

I have your kind of wheels as well. My concern is that if you go with black, you won't see where the painted-in "hole" is supposed to be, since it is also blacked out.

I vote for a bit darker metallic gray. Also, if you remember the new Ford GT40 in yellow/black (see dalola's gallery), it had silver/metallic wheels and it looks great also.

Thumbs up YELLOW WHEELS

I HAVE BRM WHEELS FROM IMAGE WHEELS IN ENGLAND ON MY CHROME YELLOW COBRA, AND PAINTED THEM THE COLOR AS THE COBRA AND ALOT OF PEOPLE THINK THEY LOOK GREAT. I THINK IT MAKES THE COBRA LOOKS GREAT. BUT I FOUND THAT THE MORE CHROME ON THE COBRA WITH THE YELLOW, THE BETTER THE COBRA LOOKS. IF YOU CAN GET THEM POLISHED, I WOULD DO THAT, BUT IF YOU WANT THEN YELLOW I THINK THEY SHOULD BE THE SAME COLOR AS THE COBRA.

Mine are painted the same color as the body and I get lots of complements on them. Here's a picture. If it doesn't show up you can see it in photo gallery.

Dave,

That is what I was picturing in my mind. I like the look. Your picture gives me a better feel for what the final product would look like.
