15" Tires

Anyone know what the best high performance tire is for a 15" rim ? Sizes would be 295/60/15 and 255/60/15. Seems the best I can find is the Goodyear Eagle GT-II. Anyone have any experience with these as just street tires ? The ones that come on it (new SPF) seem way to hard and give only little conering ability. Thanks in advance.

I own and operate a small chain of tire and service stores, and there isn't a really good 15" tire left out there in a Cobra size. About the best still lingering are the Hoosier DOT and I think Yokohama still makes an intermediate in a decent 15" size. I finally gave up and put my drag slicks on my Torque Thrusts and bought a set of 17" PS Engineering knockoffs for street duty. PLENTY of excellent 17" tires, and now reasonably priced. I know this sounds expensive, but it will really enhance your experience.
