Default TC's Garage/Shop is done

Posted some pics of Garage in the gallery now that lift is installed and painting, etc. is done. I still need to add some shelving, get my rollaway tool box in there (Ugghh--getting it from the house to here will be a pain). See my prior posts for flooring and other details. I went with a Rotary Asymmetrical Two post since it allows the most functionality if used for suspension work, etc. and the asymmetric design avoids the posts being in the way of the car doors for entry/exit. I can park all my vehicles in that bay and get in and out. Even better, the lift was equal to or less than all other manufacturer direct lifts when shipping (most actually include shipping now) and install were factore in. Arms clear all my cars as well, except the race car needs a little hydraulic jack persuasion depending on tire pressures. $2,800 installed, and I added two feet of extended height to it since I had the room.

TC-
Very impressive. And I thought I had it good with a 3-car. The Sistine Chapel pales in comparison. How many cars can you fit in there?

How can I explain to the wife that we need to move because I need a new garage??

Chaplin Well, there are 5 in there now--I could probably squeeze in two more sports cars by taking up space between the doors and some jockeying, or the same with dollies, but it would be not as useable a space. It really depends on what type of cars we are talking about--as you can see, the truck is a monster of a space hog. I could do 6 right now by lifting one up when not in use (I use 'em all). I designed it so all 4 bays could do a lift--4 posters in the middle two bays, a low profile two poster at the right. The original design that I used had walls dividing the middle two bays with the ends. I wanted it open for maximum flexibility and room--glad I did.

Thumbs up Nice shop/garage !

I want such a mech area, but since we are planning a home on our rural estate lands, reason dictates that I wait and hold out with my 2 car garage...I have never been an envious guy, but if I were, the clean spacious shop you have would do the trick...enjoy it, many guys would love to have such a cool space for their toys !
