Does anyone have a part # for a Cobra windshied. Also, a economicial suppler. Is staying with glass a better option over plastic ?
Thanks, Larry Marigold

europaspares.com or cobraspares.com (same site) is a UK supplier of OEM Cobra parts. Tinted windshield is 120 pounds x 1.4 British pounds to U.S. Dollars. Credist card and freight is about like any other mail order site. You get your parts in 3 - 5 days, the bank does the currency conversion. There is a small import duty to pay, usually less than $20 bucks.

Reliable folks to deal with.

Default Use Safety Glass - not plastic

Unless your car is for track use only, I would not recommend a plastic or Lexan windscreen.

I have ridden in Lynn Park's Cobra, which has a Lexan windshield. It is treacherous driving toward the sun - I could not see anything - just a nearly opaque blur of scratchy haze. I think the only way we got where we were going was that he knew the route, inch by inch.

I also recall that he has had a few "Equipment Violation" citations from the CHP for not having "Safety Glasss" in his windshield.

For your own safety, and the safety of others, I'd recommend using real Safety Glass.

Regards,

Jeff

THanks very much for your reply. I think safety glass is the better way to go.
