Default large lettered goodyear tires

I know this was discussed some time back but, where do I get the large lettered goodyear tires and, what size
would be best for a ride height of about 4"

The only two engines ever made.........
427SO and Zip-a-dee-do-dah.

You really only have 2 options...you can get the bluestreaks with large letters or you can get the shelby tires that have Goodyear Eagle on them.

The Goodyear rain tires are not made anymore in 15"

Aggie-
Do you know if either are DOT certified?

Thanks,

I believe from what I saw before the Shelby Tires are not DOT but I could be wrong...I think Roger carries those as well.

Need to keep this going just a little bit longer, gimmie your choice of tires other
than the large lettered Goodyears.
Entertaining all options.

Hey Perry,

The question about which 15" tire is best has been hashed many many times, in many different threads. I suggest you perform a search.

Short of performing a search, your choices for 15" DOT street tires are gonna be limited to: BFG, Dunlop, and Goodyear. I may have missed a brand or two, but you're not gonna find high quality 15" DOT street tires.

Good luck,
Randy R...

What is the significance of DOT certification? If they are not DOT are they considered illegal for public roads? What is the difference in a tire that makes one DOT and another not?

Any thoughts??

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, I was wondering the same thing, if a cop pulled you over would he know the difference, short of getting on his knees to read??>

I don't know how to tell the difference or even what's out there but I can tell you this.
In most states if you run a non legal, not dot approved tire your insurance company could reject any claim you have. If the claim was to go to court you probably wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
Food for thought.
