Default E-brake question and grommet question

Hi
I have my lokar handle installed now. I will be drilling the hole to pass the 2 cables thru to the wheels next....Is there an oval shaped grommet made? I would like to drill one hole and pass them thru in the oval shaped grommet one on top of the other.
If not then its two holes and grommets.

Secondly I have deville rear calipers, they have a large return spring on them where the brake cable will attach. This spring is about half as long as the spring on the LOKAR cables. The lokar springs easily fit inside the deville springs, but they are twice as long.....should I cut them to match in length or discard the lokar springs entirely and rely only on the seville oem return springs?

They are pulled in from the rear of the car and located at the top, fairly similar to this pic

I used a Lokar floor mount brake, which may be different from what you've described, but I'll try to help. I'm not clear as to the grommet you refer to. On my set-up, the cables are under the car and do not pass through any part of the body. Admittedly, the handle is close to the floor when down. (See Interior Pic Link)

At the handle end - my cable ends went into a block with 2 holes with a set screw for each cable. (See Lokar picture)

On the axle end, I was attaching to a Ford SVO set-up (off a 1999 Explorer). There I used a combination of stock Ford and Lokar parts, until I got the right return spring pull and the Lokar cables were properly retained by the stock e-brake hardware. I used the stock Ford springs. Cutting the Lokar springs did not work for me, they didn't have enough pull.

Hi Wadesdad
Thanks for the feedback ...I am using the lokar tranny mount job in the 16 inch handle. Basically I mounted it to a subplate and then mounted that to my passenger side inner frome rail. The bottom end, to which the cable block attach is on the top side of the floorpan, so I must send my cables out the back bulkhead running under the passenger seat and on the inner frame rail.
My handle looks similar to the type you see sitting in the ERA and Superformance setups...never lies flat...

Cable run is straight out to the IRS, not a very far run, considering the extra length lokar supplies in the cable set.

So it sounds like you turfed the lokar springs?

I shall give it some trial and error , thanks for the help.
Tim

PS one thing you guys have over me with the nice floor mount/surface mount , is the ability to utilize the bezels and boots. I have to figure that out too.
