Default Le Mans Fuel Cap and Base Adapter

I was looking through Enzo's (Finish Line) things and came across this fuel filler cap and base adapter. Has anyone put this base adapter on an SPF ?? Also, does it just bolt right onto the existing filler cap ? Thanks in advance.

FIXIT - The one that came on it is totally fine but it is recessed into the body of the car and the one pictured above looks like the base adapter fills the area around the cap/neck and comes out around the body and protects it a bit. I do not want/need the cap and assembly, but just the base adapter that goes around the bottom and has those rivits all around it...Do these just bolt right on with a rubber gasket underneath ??

The picture is kinda small and I can't relly tell, but it looks like a surface mounted unit for bodies without the recess. I can't say for sure, but I would venture a guess that they won't work together, that base and your cap assembly. Probubly have different threads or some other tiny difference like that since there really is no "standard" on most of these repops. Hopefully somebody out there has tried it and can tell you for sure.

I bought one of Enzo's caps and necks to replace mine. My latch mechanism had cracked along a casting line. Enzo's seems a step above mine (better finish, better casting). It fit my neck, but the threads are indeed a little different.

I plan on switching to Enzo's filler neck this this winter.

If this is what you are looking for, it is available from Finish Line.
