Default Speedo cable lube?

Hi

Running my cable route from the tremec tko to the reverse adapter on my speedo above the tunnel.....what a tight run......supposed to be fairly loose so as not to bind anywhere.
Hell that's easier said than done.....coming off the tranny, this puppy wants to run straight down into the ground, let alone get it to turn up loosely, go by the drivers side of the tranny/scattersheild and then thru the flat panel above the scattershield ........one big 180

by the way what are guys using for cable lube, if any?

Tim

White lithium grease is my lube of choice.

If your cable is that tight, consider a right -angle adapter. They are available from several sources. i.e. Clark Brothers and Arthur Allen Mfg.

Hi Bob
Thanks for the reply on the lube. As for the adapter, I am running the "reverse adapter" which comes off the speedo at a right angle. This does give me allowance to enter the speedo from the boot or any side.

The pioneer brand speedo cables I use always come with a little packet of lube in the box. It looks mostly like regular yellow bearing grease to me, but anything is better than nothing!

Agreed with Bob, Lubriplate makes it along with others.

I use SuperLube.

Comes in cartridges, or tins.

Synthetic, odorless and clear.
