Tom,
I agree with running longer springs. Spacers with the same springs, won't change the amount of preload or over all length that you are running now. It would still look funny. You will still have to run the same preload with longer springs but OAL will be greater, making it look right. Unless your coil-binding, you probably wont notice a difference in ride. Though some say alonger spring is more "plush" than a shorter one of the same rate, I've never been able to tell a difference.
