A Beaver has to be one of the coolest airplanes out there. I usually fly Asia routes and so I fly over Alaska and Northern Canada a lot. A MILLION places to use that Beaver. Tell your Dad He's a lucky guy.

Regards,

JUSTA6 - His plane is actually in Alaska, and you are right - they really are unbelievable and goregous airplanes...Totally redone, the thing looks like it just came off the assemblyline...We go up there fishing in the Summers...Pretty fun flying up there in a GIV and jumping on a Beaver...Like getting out of an S55 Benz and into a Cobra....What was the line from that movie up there with Anthony Hopkins when he jumps off his Challanger ?? "Never pity a man who owns his own airplane...."I tend to agree with that - Every time that damm GIV goes wheels up it's a new Cobra...Craziness if you ask me...But that sure is the way to travel these days....Oh well, flying coach and jumping in the Cobra ain't that bad.

Has anyone used the Auto Meter MINI PRO-LITE(R) WARNING LIGHTS with the Tri-Alert? I would like to add the shift light, and a warning light and this looks like it might work out.

You can use any kind of warning light or sound device. I chose to use a "rocker" switch that has a light in it. The switch turns on the Tri Alert and the light goes out when the engine is running. I also have a VERY loud Piezo buzzer that I can hear at speed with my helmet on. That way I can hear trouble brewing

Have a Happy New Year,
