Default Will adding rear disc brakes widen distance between wheels.

I am replacing the drum brakes with disc brakes on my CMC and
was wondering if this will widen the distance between the rear wheels. I need to order new wheels and I want to get the right back space. Thanks for any help you can throw my way.

Popeye, good to hear from you. Most all disc brake kits (front and rear) will increase the track width, but by how much depends on the mfg. Which kit are you using? You may want to get in touch with the mfg. and they should be able to give you a dimension. The increase should be the difference in the thickness of the drum vs. the hat thickness of the disc where it fits over the axle flange. I think my track increased by about 3/16" per side.

Popeye you are not moving the axel flanges the only distance would be the thikness of the rotors (depending what rotors) to the thickness of the drums what you have to look at the calipers might hit the iner edge of the wheels.
