Cut your sidepipe holes in a somewhat trapezoidal shape, leaving approximately 5/8th's to 3/4" inches clearance. Pipes should be spaced approximately 3/4 to 1 inch from body surface. Always leave yourself enough clearance to compensate for counterclockwise engine torque. Engine will torque driver's to passenger's side, opposite the rotation of the crank
Have a opening template taken from an original Comp Car...happy to send or fax it to you.
Just mounted some on my Kirkham, very happy with the result. Just added some pix to my gallery.
