Rear Springs

As you can tell I need to replace my rear springs (and rotate the rearend forward a bit). They are 12 inches tall. How can I determine the spring rate? What spring rate would be appropriate?

C see if you can find a local dirt track chassis builder he will have
spring checker for coil overs witch should also check yours
if he cant check yours get to know your local parts man and
look in his books not on his computer and find a spring with same
size wire diameter and close to your original height and you will
be back in the ballpark again

The way these have given up it looks as though someone may have heated them to settle them to correct height. This loses the temper of the spring and they settle just where they've been heated. Something to bear in mind when specing out replacements. Look also at a coilover replacement. They are more adjustable for height spring rate etc and are more cost effective than they used to be.

I have found rears typically run between 200 to 250 pounds.

My Aldans are 220s.

I had the car weighed today:

LF 648 RF 670
LR 693 RR 632

Total 2643

I suspect the LR weight is more because the left spring was about 1" lower than the right. This would cause gas to shift that direction.

Ride height is 9". The current springs appears to be 12"

Can anyone make a recommendation as to the spring rate and height of spring needed?
