Hi NMattison,
The color is from ppg? Is that correct? What about the kit, am I correct to assume it is from A&C?
If it is I am also getting mine from A&C and it should be delivered next week. There are quite a few guys in here who have A&C's and I have found them to be always willing to help with questions about the build.
If you are getting an A&C and would like to compare notes, feel free to e-mail me.

NMattison,
Great to have you aboard with us.
I don't have a cobra yet, still a wantabee. There is only reason that I don't have a cobra yet and it's: kids, house, college, other projects needing finished (71 Torino GT), and so on.......
I'm orange with envy for you all that have made your dream come true
But when that day comes, it will probably be a Lone Star and it will be Orange
Good luck!!!!!

Hey!, picking up my A&C body kit on Friday of next week. Just got the frame done. Pictures are in my gallery. We should keep intouch, we seem to be on the same schedule. Good luck on the build. I went with Guardsman Blue, no stripes. I will have to have this sprayed of course. I was going to go with gelcoat, but I could not get a metallic color. I will be looking for future posts.

A&C Owner
Hi Guys,
I already got my A&C rolling chassis and my 351W block should be back from the machine shop today. The rest of the kit (body, interior, etc,) scheduled to be delivered in two weeks.
Everyone I have spoken with about the A&C Kits all agree, they're well made. As far as paint, you're right no metallic if you go Gelcoat. However, what a lot of guys do is get the gelcoat, wetsand off the gelcoat bonding agents, paint on the stripes and then clearcoat it. This will add durability and depth to the gelcoat finish.
Also, Poling is correct, this is a great site. Since I joined in a few months ago, I have found everyone to be so helpful.
From what I read above, it looks like there are three of us basically on the same build schedule. You guys are always welcome to call on me with any of your questions.
There are also a few pretty knowledgable A&C owners in here. Roscoe, CaseyT, JPoling, and Mike Lopez. If you a get a chance check out their pics. Mike Lopez has a sweet Orange Cobra that is gelcoated with the clearcoat. It looks real nice and it convinced me that that is the way I am going.

You will be real pleased with the A&C gel coat body. The body is heavy, so have 4 guys ready to help unload it. I'm about 80% finished with my A&C Cobra. Have fun with your build! Len

Hello Again, we should start a A&C Club lol. I am very happy with the qaulity of the kit. The welds on the frame are some of the best I have seen yet. For anyone needing help finding parts or wanting to trade ideas, let me know. UPS just dropped of my Colman pedal assembly ( http://www.colemanracing.com/section/index.htp?id=456 ) for the clutch and brakes (only $159.00). Looks like it's very well made. I will let you know about the fit. I also got my master cylinders from them. I didn't want to go with a modified mustang set-up. Please keep posting pictures in your galleries and I will do the same.

Plain Brown Wrapper
Well maybe it's not brown paper, it's all wrapped in plastic. My engine came in yesterday and I took some pics.
351W, .030 over, Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads & Cam, Keith Black hyperU pistons, ARP Rod & Crank bolts, Crane Roller Rockers, and Comp Pushrods.
Let the assembly begin!
