Thumbs up Racing Slicks

They're Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere

I ordered the 26.5 x 15" GoodYear Vintage racing slicks on Tuesday from Rodger Kraus, and they just arrived via Fed-Ex. (3rd day.) today.

Damn - THEY ARE REALLY BIG

TL IS A HAPPY CAMPER

Default Slick Size?

Geeeeze Rick,
I DIDN'T KNOW YOU GUYS WANTED ALL THE INFO
So here it is:
Front: 26.5x8.0x15 tread compound 2994 cost $115.00 ea.
Rear: 26.5x10.0x15 tread compound 2373 cost $127.00 ea.
Ordered from Rodger Kraus Racing, best price I found.

I really don't know how these tread compound #'s relate to new #'s for the newer performance tires, but was told these are soft.
Actually I really had no other option with the 15" wheels. If I ever feel confident enough to go faster and for longer periods of time, then I'll step up, but for now I think I have a package that is adequate for my driving skills.

Terry Lee your in great company Dick Smith has them on his cobra. the 15" tires tell you when they are letting go, the 17" have the handling advantage but NO WARNING. I learned this lession at Run&Gun last year on a sliding across the track, through the mud puddles and across the grass. I thanked god, buda, drewed's and the michelin man for the 2 tires that held the track. I went and changed my shorts after the run and slowed down on the off cantered 180 turn. Get a temp gun to check the tires for max working area and traction. Keep notes it all helps you in the long run. Rick Lake
