Question Engine shuts off

I currently own a 94 Mustang Cobra, that shuts off for no apparent reason at all. No lights show up on the dash and no trouble codes are showing up on the computer. The car will refire after setting for an hour or so. It acts like it has lost ignition power completely. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks "C"

Default Engine Shuts Off

You mention that after about an hour, the engine does start. Sounds like some component is overheating and after allowing to cool, once again functions. I'm no expert, but what immediately came to mind is the coil or powerpack. Don't know why it wouldn't show on the puer.

A second thought that came to me as I was typing is vaporlock in the fuel system.

Lightbulb

Hi,
Go to the ford dealer and get the main fuse link and replace it. The fuse link is a main wire at the positive battery post. When it gets hot it blows 'open' like a blown fuse only when it cools down it connects the electricity again.
Perry.

Perry,

thanks for the help! Hopefully this will solve the problem. I'm currently in Italy and have problems finding a ford dealer that actually has ever seen a mustang.

Thanks again

Thanks for all the help guys, hopefully you'all can share a little more of your wisdom. Thus far I have change the ignition coil and the TFI module with no luck. She still fails to start after the engine has been run for a while. If let the car set until she totally cools she starts right back up, any ideals?
