Tool Pro - Help
I have decided to replace my old timing light and get a more accurate one. I have been looking at the following two timing lights and was wondering if anyone has any experience with these lights?
http://store.yahoo.com/rodi/eqdigadtimli.html
or
http://www.7453217467431.com/browse/...=1061308474281
I know the Snap On light at $368.00 is probably the best light I could purchase but I don't want to spend that much money.

Hey Fixit, Bob Putnam, et al
I can't believe no one has an opinion! If you have a suggestion I am open to that as well.

Clois,
Dang it!!! Here I finally replace my timing light about 2 weeks ago with that exact Equus timing light from Summitt, and here you find it for $7.00 less..........AAARRRRGGG!!!!
Oh, I like it, and I dang sure would buy it again for less money!
Now listen close, the next time I plan to buy something, I want you to call me with a better deal two weeks before, not after!!
Your Friend,
John Russell

Sorry John,
I bought a new F-250 Supercab and I absolutely love it. It has the 6.0 Turbo Diesel w/ 5 spd automatic . Even my 5'2" wife likes it better than the Expedition we had before. It pulls my enclosed Cobra trailer with absolutely NO EFFORT at about 75mph on the Broken Arrow Expressway and it is so much faster and easier to drive. The bonus is that Diesel Fuel is about $0.20 less than gasoline and I am getting almost 20 mpg without the trailer and when I took the Cobra to Hallet a for a test and tune I got almost 15 mpg pulling the trailer. I am taking the Cobra to Road America Sept. 4-11 next month, I will let you know how the truck does on a long trip.
Yes I like my F-250 Turbo-Diesel a lot. Come on up and drive mine I'll even hook up the trailer for you.

I just usa a 1990 vintage dial back Craftsman timing light, it works fine. The snap on is nice, but I know many pro mechanics that haven't justified that cost yet themselves. I don't know what they are selling nowadays and how well they work.

Go with what Fixit says. Why waste your money with the status--that's what it is--of Snap-On? The difference in price between that and a Crafsman dial-back would buy you a few tanks of gas isn't worth it, maybe even not as good. I've had better luck with Craftsman electrical/electronics than I've had with Snap-On's.

Thanks guys,
Never could justify the price of the Snap On but I wanted something middle of the road and accurate.
