CONVERTIBLE SOFT TOP???
I just ordered a convertible top frame for my West Coast car. My question is, what ataches it to the window? my frame is a hoop with another hoop piggy backed on that, and thats it! theres got to be som mounting hardware to attach it to the windshield. Is there any poles that run from the to of the rear hoops to the windsield? Can anyone send me some underside photos of how this thing attaches? The reason I only ordered the frame was I dont have the standard full width rollbar anymore. I modified a single driver hoop with 3rd tube going thru trunk from 3" tubing.
I now have to modify this top to wprk properly.any photos would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks Gary

Say what?
Wait a minute,,,how'd we get from super chargers to soft tops?
Gasholes are EXPERTS at thread hi-jacking! This is clearly an "amatuer" attempt.
Ernie
PS I think the soft top front "slides in" the groove at the top of your windshield.

West Coast Top?
Gary,
Did you buy the frame from West Coast? The only guy I know who has a soft top and might be able to help you is Back in Black. Look up some of his posts and see if he can provide some information. I'd like to order one at some point but am waiting until its finished.
There, another successful "hijacking". If the gods get upset, we can move to another thread

SOFT TOP HIGHJACKER!!!! GODS, PLEASE FORGIVE A POOR BASTARD!
RE: JUSTBETTER Ive seen that particular car befor and it is an ENGINEERING MASTERPEICE! That is some of the most beutiful plumbing I have ever seen! The only thing that (in my opinion)could make it better is to have everything under the origional hood. It seem due to the extent of the mods that was impossible.
The raised scoop just screams K-I-T, K-I-T, K-I-T! just my $.02
RE: CMWCOBRA Yes I bought the top from WCC. I actually had Vern at my house in Albuquerque last week dropping it off personally along with the rear bumper, and a hood. He seemed quite impressed with my "one of a kind wheels" as I still am. I should have asked more questions about the mounting of the top. He (Vern) said He's be coming through again at the end of the month.

One of a Kind Wheels?
Now, you can't make a reference like that and leave your gallery empty. The West Coast crowd (and others, I'm sure) are very interested in your wheels. I also did custom wheels on my West Coast that I like very well.
Pictures, please!

Nice Wheels
Did you go with 275's on the front? Vern doesn't like the lower profile tires and warns against going over 265 in size on the front. Interesting that he likes yours. I think most people want the lower profiles on the West Coast and he's warming to the idea to promote his product.
I went one step further. 345/35ZR18 rear and 275/35ZR18 front. Michelin Pilot Sports all around. I've not seen any other West Coasts with 18" wheels. I like the look.....and expect they will stick well and handle great!
Did you put a Posi in your differential or are you running the open differential that came with the kit?

Maxvelo - I didn't get your reply. Either that or I killed it with a bunch of spam. Still interested? You've got e-mail.
