Post alignment

I'm going thru my second hend cobra. It was initially run on the track and the allignment has considerable camber (the car looks like it is standing on tip toes) I'm converting it to a streetable driver with occaisional track use. Any ideas about allignment? Camber? Castor? Toe?
Thanks, Roland

Roland,

Look here: 427 Chassis Alignment Specs

That should be a good starting point.

Default With or without weight in Driver seat?

These alignment numbers, are with or without weight in the drivers seat. The alignment will change with a 200 lb man in that side of the car. camber and caster will be different. BMW or Mercede's has you put weight in the car before you set the alignment. The caster should be .3 less on the L/S of the car if you don't put weight in the car and camber should be .2-.3 different for your weight on the L/S. Rick Lake ps everybodys car is different, this is what my car likes. I have a power rack in my car and the caster is 3.5. without the rack it would be in the 2.0's. my 2 cents. Rick Lake

We always have the driver in the seat with helmet in his lap etc to align the race cars. As long as you do the same thing each time and record/monitor/adjust accordingly based on results you'll eventually figure out what works for you. That's the fun part good luck with it.
