You didn't say anything about what frame you're putting the engine in, but most Cobras use a front sump oil pan.
I'm using the Canton 9 qt, Road Race pan and pickup. Same depth as stock, but wider. Also using Canton windage tray. Cobras corner so aggressively that positive oil control, even on the street (Freeway ramps, etc.) is essential for keeping oil around the pickup.
