Default Hemi vs. Wedge hi-bank war of the '60's

I found this sticker that was passed out to guys in the inner circle of Ford racing in 1967 for the Daytona 500 by Jacque Pasino, pres. of Ford Racing. (Stuck it to the underside of my toolbox lid.) Jacque's intent was for the guys to pass them out free to fans, but it was rumored some were sold for up to $10 apiece. This was an indication of the intense wedge vs. hemi war at the time.

The reference on the sticker, of course, was to the Plymouth Road Runner. Note the Ford logo on the Coyote's t-shirt.

I've posted sticker photo in my gallery. Click below to view:

You're probably right, Tk. What I should've said is I got the sticker in 1967 when I was at KarKraft. We didn't get any t-shirts, though. You're right again. I'll have to edit my post now so I won't look stupid. I'm retired, so I now have an excuse.

You're probably thinking of the Road Runner Superbirds starting in '69. The regular birds raced before then.
