Question Superformance differences

Hey all.

I'm interested in purchasing a Superformance in the near future and have heard that there are differences through the years, especially after SPF#1000. Can anyone elaborate on what the differences are. Thanks

Rich.

Call one of the Superformance Dealers and ask them I know Doug Reed will shoot straight with you.

http://www.superformance.com/dealers_conf.asp?ac=918

Doug does race his Superformance Cobra and he can tell you what changes have been made and how effective they were.

I would also recommend you contact a SPF dealer. Doug Reed can be reached at ReedCobra@aol.com. and he can give you the specifics and approximately what car number it went into production at.

General Overview;

Early SPFs had a cast iron rear end, different rear suspension and no dropped foot boxes. Then they went to dropped foot boxes, aluminum rear end housing, improve suspension, taller hood scoop. I think big changes were at car 300 then 600 . Next they came out wildwood brakes standard, stainless side pipes, improved brake light setup, interior air vents, Bilstein Coil over shocks vs. AVO, SPF wheels instead of Trigos, improved windshield (post in center for strength), new emerg brake stepup and real trick fuse box dropped down setup. I have had 4 SPFs and my new one is # 1543 and it has all the updates except the new emerg brake. All the cars are nice but if you can get one after the fuse box change I think around # 1,400 you would love it!
