Default Side Pipe Rattle

I HAVE A CLASSIC ROADSTER WITH A RATTEL IN THE SIDE PIPE . ANY EASY SUGGESTIONS?

While I have no direct experience of this problem, I have read that rattles and other plastic objects can get stuck to the hot pipes quite easily and that after the main body of the matter is debulked application of Mother's aluminum polish can be quite effective. I hope the child got off easily.

Had the same problem with my first set of side pipes. The glass packing has burned and the center pipe is all that is left. I drilled 2 holes on the back side of the pipe, about a foot a part. Then positioned the inner pipe over the holes, and tack welded it to the outside pipe. and filled in the hole with weld and ground it smooth.

i drilled a hole on the backside (at the middle)and put a 2 in number 8 sheetmetal screw in that stopped it

Uh,,,,,,thats one of the reasons I sold my Excal. The freakin' side pipe rattle was killing me,

HEY, thats a GREAT idea about drilling a hole in the back side and using a screw(s) to hold the loose baffle inside! I better call the new owner with that idea! I understand it's driving him nuts,,,,,,,,,ha ha
