Your alternator only needs the red wire (1 wire Hot) to be connected back to the battery. This alternator has an internal regulator and you do not need the other wires. It is grounded through the bracket attached to the block. The other wires you speak of --green and black I assume are in the ERA wiring harness which most likely are a ground (black) and possibly a warning light on the dash. Again you should only need the one hot battery lead with this alternator.........
