Dry-film Engine Coatings

Calling George, Tom, Keith, Rob McQ and any other professional engine builders or owners with experience with engine coatings.
Would any of you care to share your findings/opinions? Specifically in the areas of coating pistons, combustion chambers, valves [faces and stems] head port runners, bearing surfaces, valve springs and possibly the kitchen sink?
This may be too wide a topic for this forum, but several race-only venues swear by this process including endurance race, Winston Cup and Pro Stock. Is it foolish for street/track applications, which most of us are? Have you found measurable dyno data or longevety data to endorse this procedure? Is this process more beneficial to aluminum heads vs. iron? Have you found one coater's product to be superior to another's in a measurable way? If so please "name names". I have had Swain-Tech coat my head-pipes with excellent results. My carbs get a stronger vacuum signal, improving vac. by 5-6 in. because of greater heat retention.
Any data you care to share would be interesting and greatly appreciated.

I surmise that no one uses engine coatings OR engine-builders only scan FE Forum or Smallblock Forum.
OR nobody cares?
