Lightbulb mustang donor question

im looking for an 87-93 mustang donor for a ffr kit i see lots of 4-cylinder 5-speeds in good shape for less than $1000. is the 5-speed in the 4cyl cars the same tremec thats in the 5.0's. i have a 351 built already for the kit so the engine means nothing to me. also are the donor suspension parts i need going to be on the 4-cyl mustang.
i guess what i really want to know is...
...is a 4-cyl 5speed mustang the same as a 5.0 mustang with 4-less cylinders?

Strength issues not withstanding, the input shaft is longer I think, and the diameter of the pilot bearing is smaller.... in short, stay with the V8 components and you won't have too many bumps in the road to bog you down.

Sames goes for the suspension pieces on the 4 & 6 cylinder Mustangs......If your building a donor style vehicle, find yourself a decent original 5.0L powered car. Be it a GT, or an LX.............Any other questions, feel free to ask...........

Grab the upper non-tilt steering column and then walk away from the rest of the car. It's a T-5, by the way.
