can I use 460 pistons in a 429? trying to lower compression so I can run pump gas. please help.....:confused:

The best way to lower the compression is to get a dished piston from SRP (A division of JE pistons). They can sell you a good forged unit for the head you are running, and it much stronger than stock. Hope this helps

Hi,
An easy way to lower compression is to get later heads. You probably have heads with 72 cc chambers, later heads are 92 , 95 or 97 cc's. This will lower compression between 1 and 1.8 points, depending on your starting point.
I run 98 cc open chamber heads and a flat top piston, this will give the best flame travel.
