Default Jaguar Differential how similar to Dana 44?

I'm wondering how similar a Jag Differential and a Dana 44 actually are. Can you use the ring and pinion out of a Dana in a Jag? Can you use a Detroit locker or other posi unit made for a Dana in a Jag?

Thanks

Do a search on that... I'm sure there is plenty of info on it...

I inquired about it months ago but I don't remember the info...

Just enter Dana 44 and see what happens....

My Unique actually has a Dana 44 in the Jaguar rear. I bought it that way so I am not sure how they did it. I think it might have bolted right in.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Nathan Houghton Nat the cases are the same in size. The Jag gears have different bolts than the Dana 44. I rebuilt my Jag rear and added a 30 spline Locker to my rear. The stub shafts came from CWI. They have complete rebuild kits if they are still in bussiness. Give me a call and I will fill you in. 732 254 3536 after 7:00pm Rick Lake
