Pretty sure there is no difference in A-code and C-code 289 heads. Chambers and valve sizes should be the same. The only difference in the two engines as far as I know is the intake, carb, and pistons. (A-code being 4bbl with a bit higher compression and C-code being 2-bbl.)
Of course I have been wrong before.
