Default led tail lights

Anybody had any luck with led light conversions on rectangular tail lights?

I've been thinking about that idea too. If your tail light is like mine, the bulb is mounted vertically. An LED will have to be mounted horizontally so it points directly back. A little creative metalwork would accomplish that. Another thing to consider is the possible need for two or more LED clusters for lights, brakes and turn signals. I'm hazy in this area. The flasher may have to be replaced with one that works with LEDs. And don't forget that the angle of illumination is a lot narower with LEDs. In any case, it sounds like a nice project to play with. If you get it to work, post the results.

Yopu guys need to do a search on LED taillights. I have converted my Lucas rectangular lights with Lambert Ent. led's and it is very successful. It has been discussed here before with lots of good info on the hows and options.
