Default adequate oil pressure?

Just a small concern I had, hoping someone can clarify...
I've got a Ford 302, bored .030", B303 cam, holley 600 carb, and a FMS high volume oil pump...
When the engine is hot, and idleing at about 800 rpm, the oil pressure is down around 25-30...thats the only time it goes this low, and i just thought maybe that was a little TOO low?...Oil is 5w30 synthetic by the way

thanks!

25 psi is plenty. I remember chatting to a guy who worked on Ferraris for a living and he reckoned that some of those engines show no pressure on the gauge at tickover at that this was no great worry as long as the pressure picks up quickly as the revs rise.

My oil pressure on my 350 hp 351-W normally runs around 30 psi hot at idle, cold start up it goes to 60 psi, once everything is warmed up it goes to 30 or so..... From 1500 rpms on up it stays bewteen 50 and 60 psi,I'm running 10/30 synthetic oil,but had the same results with 15/40 regular oil.....

When on the race track and after a hard 15 to 20 minute session my oil temp is around 200 to 220,when I come off the track at idle the pressure is around 20psi.... I have a warning light attached to the gauge and it is set at 20 psi and sometimes it will flicker as the pressure is right at 20 or so..... Been like this since 1995 and about 22,000 miles..... Everyone I've spoken to about it says don't worry,as long as you've got at least 20 psi at very hot idle your o-k........

I'd prefer a little more pressure, but I've learned to live with it..........
