Hesitation problem, Help!
I had to change the fuel bowl on the front of my carb a couple of weeks ago. Two days after changing the bowl I spent some time at the drag strip with some friends. The car revs up fine while at a standstill. At launch it had a real bad hesitation/bog happening. I believe that the changing of the fuel bowl is probably causing this. The only other thing that happened different as the day went on was that the car became harder and harder to turn over (the battery was dying), I needed a jump at the end of the day. I could use a little help trouble shooting this problem. Has anybody else had this type of hesitation under a load? The bogging at the launch felt like a fuel starving problem but with the dead battery at the end of the day I'm wondering if I have a small electrical problem somewhere?
Where should I start looking?
The car only has a few thousand miles and the battery is only two years old. Could it be the alternator, battery, or ?
Any experiences would be a great help.
Thank you,
