302 flat plane crankshaft

In 2006 i plan on building a 302 with a forged 180 degree flat plane crankshaft instead of the normal 90 degree cross plane crank.

I plan on using an iron eagle 4 bolt block.premium lite weight custom rods and lite weight forged pistons.

I need to know about flywheel balancing and what to use for a harmonic balancer on the front. since the crank doesn't have counter weights inside.
Max RPM on this engine will be 7,500 or less.

This engine will be used in a car less than 2500 lbs.

Are there any well educated members that can help me with my questions?
I don't think i would get a response from FORD R&D if i contacted them.

I dont know about your flywheel balancing but what i do know its that engine will sound awesome with the 180 deg crank.....

yeah it will be sweet.there is a sound link to a 3.5 liter v8 at www.rickwrench.com . I am 53 years old and i want to build one kit cobra before i get to old and shiftless LOL.So i want to build an exotic 302. I hope to hear from some of our UK members.They have some flat plane V8's there (rover i think).I am also going to need some kind of firing order also. I do know that what i will end up with is two 4cyl engines connected by a common crankshaft and crankcase. I just hope that the 302's 3 inch stroke isnt too long (vibrations).if i do destroke the crank,i will end up with longer rods and slower piston speeds which is ok too.I am at the age where i want what i want and wont settle for anything else (evil grin) LOL.
