Default Vented Disc Brakes for a Contemporary

I am installing the front disc brakes on my contemporary chassis. I am using a series II spindle and upright and want to upgrade to a vented disc brake set up. The series III vented disc rotor hits the upright. Has anyone found an appropriate vented disc with the proper offset to fit the series II upright and the spindle without doing a lot of machine work to the spindle?
Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Hi Karen

Have you talked with Mike Schulz. He aslo lives in Comox and is building a Contemporary with a Ford 427. BTW, nice part of B.C.;
used to work at Esquimalt Naval base.

Default Contemporary Vented brakes

Good day CO-Bro`s....and Co-Bro-etts,Thanks Ken for sending Karen my way....We actually live within walking distance from each other....I`ve actually been over and made faces in her window.It seems that the Jaguar XKE series 3 Front uprights have more of an offset than the series 2 ones do. This difference will not allow a series 3 rotor to fit without major mods. She needs to know what other Vented 1" Thick Disk brake rotor out there will have the correct offset to fit the Jaguar Front Hubs and roughly 11" in Dia....Mike

The man you need to talk to is George Petrus, owner of Accurate Machine Products in LA. His phone number is 310-370-4075. George has been a Shelby supplier for many years of suspension components and has some wonderful alternative upgrades for ERA, Contemporary, and Hi-Tech - among others. If there has been a problem with suspension set-up's George most likely has the answer. Good luck!
