One wire alternator question
I have a one wire alternator, I know that the one wire runs from the alternator to the positive post on the battery. However this is my questions as silly as it may seem. I am running my positive battery cable through a kill switch, instead of running the one wire from the alternator to the positive post on the battery, I just ran it to the one side of the kill switch so it gets power when the kill switch is turned on. will this function in the same way as running it to the battery post, will it charge my battery hooked up this way? If not i assume I have to run it to the post?
