Default Titanium Valve Spring Retainers

Has anyone ever seen any dyno tests comparing steel & titanium components? I know they are lighter and stronger....and will supposedly pick up about 200-300 revs...but I'm curious to see if there are any horsepower differences or any differences in revviness...

I don't think there is any horsepower to be gained from using titanium. The weight savings in the important factor. I was having trouble with push rods coming out of the rocker arm at 7500 rpms. Switched to titanium to reduce weight and haven't had a problem since. If you're not having any problems and are using all the rpms you can now, I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm building a new engine with a set of KCR heads. I'm not doing it for horsepower, but because he recommended it with my combo. I was just curious to see if there were any other benefits.

Titanium or other lightweight parts help an engine rev quicker. Studies show most benefit is achieved when the lightweight parts are located on the valve side as opposed to the pushrod side. I don't know how this relates to Hotfingrs experience; as we all know, there's always the exception to the rule.
