Default Jag rear problem

I went for a ride a couple weeks ago and all of a sudden the car wasn't putting any power to the rear wheels. I pulled the differential out of the car and discovered bolts that hold the clutch and spider gear assembly together had come loose in the Power-Loc differential. Could this have happened for any other reason than not being torqued properly?

See picture in my gallery

Also, while I have this out of the car can anyone tell me if they upgraded to Wilwood brakes after having the standard Jag inboard brakes, and if there was a worthwhile improvement to braking.

Thanks in advance
Jerry

Yo Jerry,

Here's the guy you need to put that question to: http://www.cwiinc.com/index.html

The owner's name is Mike Bontoft and I'd take his answer to the bank

As long as the rear end is our and needing work I would consider a pair of Mark Williams stub axels. They are built from better material and have quite a few more splines on them. The Jab stub axels in my car were twisted pretty badly and fortunately that was discovered before a failure that would have been very unpleasant.

Very unpleasant indeed... These are a switch to get out after it comes to this.

Looking at the picture you posted, I have a hard time believing those were torques properly when assembled.
