LSC sway bars
I am on to my next project - getting my Lone Star to be happy in the turns. I did a search and read many people looking for a sway bar set up for LSC, but no one that had them that told what parts they used and from where. Has anyone tracked this and can give guidance? I found this site http://www.1speedway.com/Swaybars.htm and they have some adjustables that might work. Vintage performance has some but they are the wrong dimensions for the LSC.
Any help here guys or do I go this alone

I think those are the same ones Dean (dlampe) used on his Hurricane. You might try PMing him and see what he has to say.

I ordered a set of fronts from Speedway today. After seeing some pics of them on a Hurricane (thanks dlampe) and doing some mocking up myself they look like they will be pretty easy to install on my LSC. I will keep everyone posted.

I could have sworn Brian had told me they had a setup for their cars.
Did you ask if LCS had a setup??
I would be intersted in what you end up with, would you include me in any notification? Thanks.

Your gonna love this answer - They said they were not needed! I also just called again and Brian said no sway bars.

I know when I built my Lone Star back in '98 Steve had sets of sway bars for the Cobra's and they were in the upper level warehouse. Another Lone Star owner, Don Barnes put a set on his car for awhile. I know he eventually removed them.
Scott is probably correct, I'll bet they still have some of them. Ask Steve.

I received my anti-sway bar kit today. Spent a little time this evening just seeing what might fit where. Pics show what I think will work. Plate for bronze bushings/mounts will bolt to front frame plate. Be a little tight to drill but I believe I can get to it. If you will notice there is a 1/4 inch plate welded to the top of the lower arm with a hole in it. This is where I will have to make some type of connection for a double ball link (like the Qa1) to mount to the plate and then drill the sway bar arm for the other end of ball jount. I ordered the 30 degree arm because I knew the sway bar would have to mount above the control arm. Looks like the correct angle. I will have to offset each arm about 2 inches to put it just below the hole. They say to do this in a press. I will need to find a double ball link about 3 inches center to center. I know Racer parts sells th QA1 since this is where I got the upgrades ones for the 4 link. What do you guys think. Any suggestions?

Looks really good to me. I like how it seems to fit up and away, like it was made to go there.

Dang Bruce, pop a pic or ten on the thread so we all can ponder your setup.
I am getting ready for a T56 move and was wondering about a sway up front.
AND, Yes Steve told me I could get sway bars back when I did mine. Brian has advised against it...along with putting a top on the car.

Sorry about the delay. Been getting one of my youngins off to college. I have started fitting bar and have started drilling mounting holes, I only had 5" of clearance between my body and the front frame to get drill into. Bought a Ingersoll Rand right angle pneumatic drill and with a 1/2 " Unibit I was 5 " from back of drill to end of bit. Really worked pretty well - use a little lube - drill a lot better. I bought standard sway bar links and will get fitted up soon. I will post pics once I get is all sorted. Unless I am missing something I cannot believe LSC does not support and sell some kind of kit like this rather than us having to figure it all out. It is fun though.
