In the size you want there are three Yoko's available.

AVS Sport
A032A H-Compound and S-Compound.

Than what is a good tire for a 17" wheel? I got kumho's 1300 miles ago, they are now bald with only a wee bit of burning out.

Have you checked out Eagle F1 by goodyear? That is what we install on our 17 inch wheels

Go to www.tirerack.com . They list a Yoko AVS Sport. Not sure what stock is.
I am in the same boat looking for 17" tires. I have pulled up all the different 315/35 17 there are since they discontinued the 315/45 17. I have the F-1 Supercar's by Goodyear. Great tire, but they hardly make any size's anymore. I think I will be going with the 335/35 17" Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. They get good reveiws, plus I know of a couple people that have tried them. You will pay out the a$$ for them.

The Goodyear F1 is very highly rated in the tests.
I've been running the Dunlop SP8000 for about 7k miles now.A very nice tire too.

The reason for buying Yok Avids is because they are arguably one of the only decent tires available in 15" sizes.

When you get to 17" tires, there is a wider assortment of much higher performance tires out there.

In 17" sizes, I have personally used a number of different high performance tires (on cars other than the Cobra) and can highly recomend both the Dunlop SP8000 and especially the Good Year F1. Both offer staggering performance levels, and the Good Years even seem to have both a better ride quality and higher latteral G performance than most.
