Floor Mount Pedals?
I am thinking of going with TILTON or WILWOOD floor mounted pedals. I was going to fabricate a 2" drop to my pedal box and add a 1/4" plate across the bottom for mounting the pedals. I am 6'1" and feel this style pedals will be stronger and more comfortable. Are there many others that have gone this route? Any info on floor or hung pedals wil be greatly appreciated.

ERAs come with floor mounted pedals, using Tilton master cylinders, one for front and one for rear, mounted side by side with a simple balance bar connecting them to the pedal rod for easy front/rear bias adjustment.
Do you fit in the car with the standard (not dropped) floor? If so, this type setup works well.

My Arntz is fitted with floor mounted pedals with the masters under the floor.
The assembly is mounted in a way so that the whole pedal assembly can be slid front to back to adjust for drivers of different leg lengths.
There is a removable aluminum plate for the floor which makes adjustment and bleeding very easy.
The car originally had all Hurst/Airhart masters with built in resevoirs, but I have swapped the clutch master for a Tilton using a remote mounted resevoir.

We use Tilton 3 Pedal assemblies on our EVO 5 chassis. I like the spacing and feel.

Hey Mike & Roscoe how much of the master cylinder protrudes the foot box? I like the Tilton setup. Mike do you sell this setup?

Hi Bruce,
We do not sell the set up separately, but you can buy it here and other places on-line:

The master cylinder length is about 5.5 inches, but you can get "shorties" from tilton which I beleive are around 3.5 inches.
