Non Cobra Question, Chev. (ugh) Camaro Question??
I have a friend restoring a 1968 Camaro ( I know, friends aren't suppose to let friends drive Chebbies...he-he) and in the original build manual, linked below, it makes reference to P.V., which we can't find anywhere any ideas or Chebby experts ?? Thanks..Earl
The confusing part was that the factory drawing listed the location at 114.25" PV and 28.94" PV with no description of what PV was.

Earl,
In the picture that you attached it looks as if you are working on installing a radio antenna. I didn't see any reference to PV in that diagram and it looks to be a manual antenna. Is this so? I think some Cameros had an electric antenna but am not sure. I want to say it has something to do with vacuum, but just can't see from that diagram where you would need any vacuum.

Earl,
Now we both know something about Cameros. Just remember it to impress the next person that runs into that with. LOL:

Earl,
P.V. in that drawing does refer to the point view - viewing a plane parallel to the ground.
However, it appears that someone had problems with that dimensioning and added numbers by hand to the drawing from the firewall, the back of the quarter panel, and the car's centerline to make it a bit easier to measure.
Just remember that even those handwriiten dimensions must be in a plane that is parallel to the ground not along the body which is not parallel to the ground. Use a long level and carpenters square to establish the initial points, and measure from there.
Cheers!
Dave

Measure it with a yardstick, mark it with chalk and cut it with a torch.
