I would imagine that each kit manufacturer has their own way of doing this. My body is held to the frame with a series of pop rivets along the lower edge of the rocker panel as well as in the engine compartment and the trunk. I think that one thing to consider is to spread out the load so that not too much force is placed on any one part of the body.
