I did exaggerate, the 428 was on the stand about 8 - 9 months but I had removed the heads and intake. Next I kept a 302 long block on it 2 - 3 months and then a 302 short block. I guess I have had 200 to 400 pounds on it for a year. It's a good stand and I would buy another.

PS under all that dirt was a 428 "S" code block. The motor was in a '67 stationwagon, from the factory. Date code 7A20, 1967 Jan 20 . This would make a great motor for a 1967 GT 500.
