Webers on 289/302

I recently installed 48 IDA's on my 289 and ran across a small issue that I had not anticipated and wondered if any of you with similar installations had a solution (?) The distributor hold down bolt becomes very confined while using the intake manifold with 2 hoses going forward, instead of the type with a thermostat housing. I am considering a Buttonhead screw with internal hex. The regular 1/2" hex headed bolt is almost inacceble. Any other ideas????

Since I haven't seen your set up I am not sure this would even be possible or that you would want to, but could you use a little longer bolt and put a sleeve around it that would hold the distributor hold down in place and the top of the bolt just up enough to get to it easy?

Would a crow's foot wrench help? One that goes on a ratchet I mean...

I would use a standard Allen head, more depth . That way a ball end Allen wrench fitted to a socket will work and not slip. You need the angle the ball end will provide. Cut off an old wrench and fit to the right size socket.
