Default Jet Hot

Just called for pricing on this coating for side pipes and headers. I was quoted $675.00, this is higher compared to the last job I had done. Any other companys out there with better prices and service?

I used HPCoatings last year for my headers and sidepipes. They did an awesome job and they have a lifetime warranty. http://www.hpcoatings.com/am/product...hipercoat.aspx

Rick at So/Cal Paint just picked my pipes up in Escondido and they turned out nice. This was the second time for these pipes but since I had the car apart I had the bumpers rechromed and pipes re coated $675.00 sounds about right but that includes so/Cals juice. You may try haggleing on the price.

Yesterday, I dropped a set of side pipes at Jet Hot's Pascagoula plant and the price was $295.00 plus $53 for shipping.

For $40, I am told they will ship you a box to be used for shipping your side pipes and they will come back in about 2 weeks looking beautiful.

I don't understand the $695 number.

Default jet hot

i brought my pipes to jet hot in pascagoula last year they quoted me 295.00 also, when i went back in 4 weeks they said the person that gave me the price was no longer there and he made a mistake. now if i want my pipes it will be $500.00, we settled on $400.00. make sure to hold on to your estimate i gave them mine when i went to pick them up the girl took it went in the back office came back without my estimate and told me it would be more money. p.s i chose the sterling coating and it didn't look like the sample on the shelf in the office. just a word of warning.

I have had 5 side pipes coated from JET HOT and I will never use them again. The workmanship was terrible and each pipe had some kind of damage ,one pipe had to be sent to a muffler shop to have the dent pulled out that they put in and then coated and never said a word about it.

You will need the lifetime warranty on the HPC coatings.

I am on the third re do of HPC on boat headers. The coating doesn't seem to stick very well and peels off in about 5 to 6 hours of use. They have not hasseled me at all with the warranty, but I have to pay freight one way.

I have another set of boat headers that have the Jet Hot coating and they are ok - and a lot shinier than the HPC.

Not trying to offend anyone or dis any company....
Just my two cents worth and the facts.

Thumbs up

For what it's worth guys I have had my GT40 headers recoated 3 times and it has never stayed shiney for long. It goes dull especially near the heads. I now just scuff them with a scotch pad them spray them with this stuff.

http://www.duplicolor.com/products/engine.html

This stuff is way easier to touch up and it looks really good
If you are doing this for a lower surface temp, then I think you need to get out the Temp laser and see for yourself that there is not that big of a difference.
I'll not pay to coat another set as long as I can get this stuff.
