Default Hood strut.

Does anyone know where I can find a direct replacement hood strut for my BDR. I have not seen this part listed in any of my resources, including Backdraft.

Not sure what the compressed and extended length is but you can buy them here www.mcmaster.com search for "pneumatic strut" on page 1167-1172 they also have a bunch of brackets to fit your application.

The newer BDR's use a hood rod to hold the hood up. I think there problems with the pneumatics failing and the hood dropping.
