Default Howe exhaust website ?

I'm having trouble finding a direct link to Howe exhaust. They have a 3.5"-4" muffler, I would like to see and read about.

I've seen this site but I don't see a muffler for a side pipe ?
Give me a clue, it's clear I don't know what I'm looking for.

Is this the actual muffler so many are using ?

Classic Chambered Cobra packs flow about the same, have 3" cores and are considerably quieter than the Howes.

Although I like mine loud, I just don't want so much that it's no longer tolerable. Classic Chambered is smaller then the Howe but, I wonder if there's much of a HP/TQ difference ?
And, classic packed or not ?
I assume the packing will be blown out as any other packing does ?

No complaints about packing blow-outs. I've been building & shipping them since Oct. 2006. These are not cheapie glasspacks.

I would highly recommend you give Eric at Classic Chambered a call. He's very knowledgeable and great to talk with and deal with. I am very happy with the service and product I received from him.

Kevin, listen to me... for once .... DO NOT BUY THE HOWES!!! You and your neighbors will regret it. Besides, I don't think you'll see any gains anyway..

Sheeesh, can't wait for "row-plantin' season" to start..

nuttin' worse than a cornless husker..

Thumbs up

Kevin,

I disagree with Dave. Buy the Howe's and you will be happy you did, and you will see some HP/TQ gains.

I guess the question is how much gain do the Howe's give over mufflers like Stainless Specialties and Classic Chambered, vs. how much louder are they? It all depends on what noise levels you're willing to put up with and for how much gain. With the Classic Chambered having a 3" core, I can't imagine the Howe's flowing significantly more and giving significantly more power. How many horsepower is your hearing worth? Eric struck me as a pretty honest and knowledgeable guy. I would be willing to bet he could tell you how many HP difference there would be as well as the dB difference. Give him a shout.

If you check most exhaust flow charts you'll find an unrestricted 3" flow path is good for 700+ HP with no significant losses.
